Wedding Review – 4th June 2017 – BOOK THIS VENUE FOR YOUR WEDDING! We got married at The Barn on the 4th June 2017 and there are no words to describe how happy we are that we chose The Barn as our venue. The Barn was the only venue we looked at, after doing a fair bit of research online. Pictures and previous reviews were all amazing and my heart was set on it after visiting and meeting Philippe. From the day we booked until the Wedding day, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was just so easy! Janet was always on hand to answer my (sometimes stupid!) questions and was a great help when it came to doing the seating plan/arranging decorations/picking food choices etc. I didn’t want to over decorate the venue, as it’s already so pretty, but I had some decorations which I dropped off the day before the wedding. When I arrived the next, I was blown away at how Philippe and the team had decorated. They did an amazing job and I was overwhelmed at how beautiful it looked! They did a much better job than I ever could and it was one less thing to worry about on the day! The Food – GORGEOUS. Every single course was delicious and all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the meal and the evening BBQ buffet. Especially the sticky toffee pudding and the cheese tower! I really liked that each guest could choose their own starters, mains and desserts. I also had some vegan and Coeliac guests which were accommodated with no drama! Philippe commented on how calm I was before the ceremony – I honestly believe that was because I knew we were in the hands of the professionals and our day was going to run smoothly with them around! Philippe was there to greet me when I arrived and stayed until the evening reception began and he was not let down by the evening staff that took over. I can’t thank Philippe, Janet and the team enough for all their hard work that day – nothing was too much trouble and everyone is so friendly! Our wedding review 29/05/17. Before we even set foot in this venue our minds were basically made up from viewing the photos and reading the brilliant reviews online. We booked our whole wedding here 21 months before our special day. Jan (behind the scene) answered all our questions and was an enormous help to us. Philippe was so professional,he sent a member of staff straight over to top up my glass when I accidentally knocked mine over, he also was waiting out front to greet my bridesmaids and myself and kept a personal check over the ceremony and wedding breakfast. Philippe also helped my sister out when she was stressing out over my wedding cake crashing in the car and getting very badly damaged. Above and beyond I believe. It’s these little things that I trusted in when booking. Wow! We’ve received so many compliments about the food, which everyone says was delicious, so tasty. Everyone had a choice of four meals. Vegetarians and coeliacs were well catered for too. The evening buffet and cheese tower were well received also. The staff received enormous compliments also. All were very happy, helpful and professional. The evening bar staff including Graham, such a lovely, kind, caring man, were also well mentioned. Thank you all, everyone enjoyed your company. The venue, AMAZING! From the restaurant, so beautifully decorated with our bunting, garlands and table decorations (put up by your staff after hosting another wedding the previous day). Again thank you to all staff who stayed late to make our day perfect, At such a stressful time, this was one job less to worry about and was enormously appreciated. The orangery looked stunning and the bar area, again decorated by yourselves with our items, placed just in the right positions. No wonder you win awards for your garden, Philippe it’s a dream. So pretty in people’s photos. We’re so pleased the weather allowed our guests to enjoy it’s beauty. The photo frame is a lovely touch (shame we missed our chance here as was busy mingling) and the lit up love heart (missed this photo opportunity too).Thank you for such an OUTSTANDING venue and TRULY AMAZING staff. We are so happy with our choice. The only down side was that the day flew past so quickly, we’d love to have our day all over again to give us time to take it all in. xxx

Wedding Day. I am 55 and have never written a review before now but I felt the need to share my experience of holding my wedding at the barn on Easter Monday (17/04/17). From start to finish; enquiring about the venue, visiting it, booking and planning our wedding nothing was too much trouble for Philippe the manager and his partner Janet. We had only 3 months from booking the venue until our wedding day and they guided us through the whole process making it stress free. On the day of the wedding we had as much access to the venue as we needed prior to the ceremony and the Barn and the courtyard garden looked beautiful, it exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely attentive. We had 49 adult guests and 15 children at the ceremony and formal wedding breakfast and an additional 30 guest in the evening, plus a live musician, all fitted in comfortably in the barn.If you want a small to medium intimate wedding venue then the Barn is the place for you. We are still receiving compliments from our friends and family on the choice of our wedding venue and I have no hesitation in recommending this venue to anyone who is thinking of getting married, as know that they will not be disappointed. Wedding 9/4/17. What an amazing place to get married. The scenery itself was too beautiful. In regards to the service it was amazing, everything a Bride could hope for. Philippe and the team were so attentive to mine and my wife’s needs making sure everything was perfect for our big day. We had constant communication with Janet who is behind the scenes but an amazing fixer – a guest five days before the wedding wanted to hanger there food, Janet sorted with no fuss. The food was absolute delicious I’ve been to many weddings and usually the food is horrible and repetitive but we had our choice of the menu. Our guests said it was a remarkable place and we agree. A perfect intimate wedding venue! My husband and I got married at the Barn on Sunday and it couldn’t have been more perfect if they tried. In the lead up to the wedding Janet was amazing and listened to everything I said and catered for all of my needs. The menu was adapted to be more appealing to the vast amount of children I had during the day. There was nothing that I couldn’t ask for. On the day Phillipe let me come and arrange things according to the vision I had. Phillipe and his staff had done the ground work but they let me take control of everything to make it everything that I had wished for. Phillipe put all of the extra little touches in to make it more than I could ever imagine like the flowers in the sign on the gate, the love hearts scattered down the stairs and the gypsophelia spread on top of the ceremony chair. He saw my vision and without me saying in so many words he made it happen. All of the staff were so attentive and they service was outstanding! They clearly have thought about every little detail of the day in order for my wedding to not be forgettable for myself and my guests. We just can not stop talking about the day and my husband even said can we do it all again next weekend! We stayed at Bailbrook lodge which was part of the wedding package and that certainly added to the appeal. I’ve been in my own little wedding bubble since Sunday and that helped me to continue to feel the excitement for a few more days. I can’t thank everyone enough.

Wonderful wedding venue. Our Daughter’s wedding was here on Sunday and we cannot praise the staff, the venue and the food highly enough. From delivering the decorations on Saturday to leaving late on Sunday totally exhausted the staff could not do enough to ensure everything was perfect. They take some of the stress away and made everyone feel special. The attention to detail was spot on. It was the most wonderful day thanks to Philippe and his staff. The food was first class, wine excellent and the Pimms was to die for. Everyone who attended from the smallest child to us old foggies was catered for. They even changed the toast drinks for the children (Normally sweets in a shot glass) to a lovely red & orange drink with a heart sweet as we had jars of sweets already there, it was exceptional and shows the attention to detail they have. We cannot thank them enough.

My Daughter’s Wedding. We hosted our Daughter’s wedding at The Barn on Sunday 30th October. From first viewing of the venue, through booking, planning and the actual day the only word that comes to mind is outstanding!! Nothing is too much trouble, Philippe is a dream to deal with, whatever we asked for he did! We dropped all our decorations off on the Saturday and when we arrived for the wedding the venue was decorated absolutely beautifully. Most venues you have to do this yourselves or have their standard decorations. This saved us so much time and stress and we couldn’t have done it any better had we spent all day doing it ourselves. The food was exceptional and many of our guests commented on the high standard of the meal. The staff were attentive and the minute your glass was empty they appeared to refill it. The evening reception was also perfect with a buffet which seemed to magically appear! We used the in house” DJ who was excellent too. I cannot thank Philippe and his staff highly enough for making our Daughter’s wedding absolutely perfect.

The perfect wedding. We had our wedding at the Barn in March 2016 and have finally got around to writing a review – it would have been easy to not bother, but this place is worthy of a great review.I can only agree and add to what so many other people have written in that from the moment we saw the Barn we fell in love with it – intimate, romantic and the perfect size. And from the moment we booked the venue, the service we received was second to none. Queries were always answered promptly and thoroughly and it never felt like we were being a pain with any question or suggestion we had. On a couple of occasions that we popped in for an impromptu lunch, there was always someone willing to answer any questions we may have had. The service certainly reduced the stress in the lead up to the day. On to the big day and everything ran like clockwork, but the clock being ours, as they were happy to work around us, to our timings (within reason) and were incredibly flexible and laid back in every respect – this vibe was promised in the early meetings with the venue and it lived up to expectations and filtered through to everyone. The Venue itself was stunning and decorated perfectly upstairs and down- we provided our own decorations and more or less left it to the management to decorate it how they saw fit, as we had every confidence in them, having seen photos of previous weddings. They more than delivered. The food was fantastic and we didn’t hear a bad word from any guest. I only wish I could eat it all again, as nerves over the up-coming speeches affected my enjoyment somewhat. In the evening there was ample room for the 80 odd guests (and that was without use of the garden due to the weather), with the conservatory being an effective over-flow room in the evening away from the direct music. The evening buffet was lovely and the addition of the cheese tower both looked good and tasted amazing. The service from the staff all day and all night was faultless, so much so that at the end of the night and after all guest had left we were faced with a walk round to our hotel in absolutely torrential rain, so one of the bar staff offered to give a few of us a lift back to the hotel, which saved us an absolute soaking. I would recommend the Barn to anyone and everyone for a wedding – fantastic value for money and a real gem of a venue.

I need a 6th Star to tick for this Excellent Restaurant and Wedding Venue!!!! Well… I actually don’t know where to start…. I had my wedding here in September. From booking to organising Janet and Philippe couldn’t have done any more to help or accommodate us…. Nothing is ever a issue or a worry, it is a great venue and they are a great team. You can pay wedding planners thousands and not get this service. They are exceptional. The Venue is stunning, The garden is covered in well looked after and mature plants, the pictures i got from the photographer look amazing with all the beautiful flowers and well looked after garden and barn. The Staff are EXCEPTIONAL…… They organised the whole day and decorated it far beyond what I ever imagined it would ever look like. it was simply spectacular. All the decorations were done with thought and precision. Nothing was left unturned or rushed. They worked around us like little bees and we didn’t even notice they where there. The service was second to none, Never a queue at the bar, great beer and a excellent alcohol selection. House wine was also fantastic. Oh my the food!!!! where do I begin!!!!!! We had a seated lunch for 70 which is a lot to cater for especially considering we had a selection of 4 starters, mains and deserts. All the food came out by the table, all piping hot, fresh and delicious. The portion sizes where incredible too, i haven’t ever seen such a large slice of sticky toffee pudding!!!! 🙂 Every single guest expressed how brilliant the food was. We had a lot of family over from Dubai, Cape Town and Spain, They all said it was one of the best meals they have ever had!. Guests could select if they wanted beer or wine at the table and it was effortless for the staff. – Simply amazing. The barn is just amazing. Even on Monday we went to collect the decorations… We were given the left over cheese from our cheese board which was amazing.. and the HONESTY of the staff…. we where even given 5 bottles of wine that where on our package that was left over….. I have a lot of friends in Event management and this is un heard of. It just sums up the Staff and the venue. They are 100% fantastic and i cannot stress it enough. If you’re looking to come here for Curly Fried Friday, A beer after work, A family or romantic meal……Or like us the wedding of your dreams.. then I can only express our delight and happiness that we chose this venue. Here With a Wedding Party. We were there as guests of the bride and groom and father of the bride. Following the wedding the staff brought out bubbly in flutes. After chit-chat we were shown the upstairs dining room–yes it looked like the loft of a barn, but gussied up well with long tables and helpful staff on hand. There were several choices of plates which had been reserved well ahead of time. The orders were confirmed by place cards on the tables and the staff delivered the right orders to the right places. No mistakes. Considering that 60-80 people were being served at once, the servers did very well and the food was good quality for a large party. Bravo for this place.

Wedding Bliss. We had our Wedding Day here in April and have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. The Barn is an intimate setting for the occasion and we really fell in love with the upstairs dining area which has been finished beautifully with oak beams and rustic style setting. We knew this was a great place to celebrate the day and I think what really stood out for us was the hard work and dedication of the Barn team. Philippe and Janet were an amazing in the planning and smooth running of it all, we really appreciate the effort they made and had a wonderful day because of it with great food and service- and making the most of the venue -ceremony in the conservatory, drinks in the outside courtyard, wedding breakfast upstairs, and celebrating afterwards in the main bar area. Marvellous wedding venue. We chose to have our wedding here on bank holiday Monday as the slot was late availability (they are very busy) and we weren’t disappointed. We had the ceremony, wedding breakfast with drinks package and evening festivities all here. The team made sure the venue looked fantastic (no issues at all on the final check when I arrived early) superb turnaround of the orangerie post service to create a really good place for people to chill afterwards (it was too cold to take full advantage of the garden) and the wedding breakfast was great – good food, good wine and it all went smoothly (plus you can offer your guests 4 options for each course, which is rare for a wedding venue). The kids even got some jelly beans in a shot glass for the toasts , which is a nice touch of detail. I somehow managed to miss the buffet arriving so only had some nibbles At the end of the night, but they were good too. Everyone had a great time and if you are looking for a great value wedding venue that won’t disappoint, then you need look no further than The Barn!

The perfect venue for a wedding. We had our wedding celebration at the Barn on 5th June 2016 and can thoroughly recommend it as the perfect wedding venue in Kent. We considered a number of more expensive venues before finding the Barn, but after we met Phillippe and viewed this wonderful characterful restaurant full of charm we knew this was the place for us and having now experienced the big event we cannot imagine having a wedding at a better location for a small to medium sized wedding. The venue was perfect in every respect even without the supervision of Phillippe who was unable to be there on the day. They even managed to arrange for the sun to shine after such a miserable week! The beauty of the Barn is that you have sole use of the venue for the day with rooms changing their use seamlessly as the day progresses. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and work together like a well-oiled team. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect Flowers are transported from ceremony room to restaurant and back to the bar area for the evening so that maximum enjoyment can be obtained. A nice touch is that you are allowed a choose from a wide selection of different course options, so you and your guests then have a choice of 4 different dishes for each course unlike the standard menu of so many venues and the quality of the food was excellent. So many of our guests commented how good the food was and described it as amazing, superb, fantastic, wonderful and perfect. Planning everything was so easy. Janet and Phillippe never tired of answering our numerous queries about the day and were always accommodating to our various requests. They were very happy for us to visit on several wedding days to get inspiration and have a final rehearsal. The day before the event all we had to do was take our table plan and all the decorations we wanted and everything was set up perfectly for us on the day. They were even happy to arrange some giant planters that we brought the day before. It all looked so beautiful it brought tears to our eyes when we first saw how the rooms had been decorated. The staff were brilliant on the day going above and beyond their responsibilities to make the day perfect, and even accommodating my best man’s wilder plans. Unknown to us he had planned a big brother style video diary room in the corner of the courtyard and the staff helped to erect it for him secretly during the meal and speeches. They even took pictures of the venue after it had been decorated and posted them on our WedPics page for us. In the evening we used the in house disco for a very reasonable fee. Luke was great in putting together our first dance music as we wanted and adapted the play list to our taste. Thank you Phillippe Janet Laura Lauren and all the staff who helped to create our perfect wedding. There is absolutely nothing we could fault.

Magical wedding venue!. We visited The Barn last night for our first wedding anniversary and were delighted to receive a complimentary meal! We hadn’t been back since our wedding day on the 24th May 2015 and it felt wonderful to be back there! The Barn was the second wedding venue we viewed and ,within minutes, we knew it was the venue for us! It has so much character and charm and the staff were friendly, happy and helpful. Tucked away up a little side street in the heart of TW, it really is a little hidden gem! From the minute we booked, Janet was always happy to answer any questions/emails we had and we knew that, in Philippe’s safe hands, our wedding would run smoothly. We were fortunate enough to have sunshine on our wedding day and even had photographs taken in Calverley Park, just over the road. The food was delicious and many guests commented on how much they enjoyed their meal. The lamb, in particular, was a big hit! In the evening we had a live band as our guests spilled out into the quaint little courtyard garden.It was a perfect wedding day that, thanks to the staff at The Barn, ran seamlessly! Fantastic wedding venue. We got married at the barn on may 1st and had simply the best day after a very dramatic 24hrs before the wedding! The perfect place for a laid back wedding. I booked The Barn in February 2015 for our wedding which took place in April 2016 after reading dozens of amazing reviews, it was actually the first and only place we saw and it was perfect. As well as the great reviews, I based our decision on the lack of restrictions, they are incredibly flexible and there aren’t any stupid rules about bands etc. There is also no venue hire cost, which is a real bonus when you think about how much weddings cost. Janet took care of all of my questions really quickly over email and guided me through all the little details I needed to get decorations and the wedding breakfast menus together. I also had a few last minute changes, Janet was super. I saw Philippe the afternoon before to drop off my decorations, he is a true professional who wanted to get all the details right just for us. He looked after the guests and made us feel very special. Also thanks for carrying my wedding cake downstairs! We got married in the beautiful light and airy orangery which has just been replaced, it was a lovely intimate space where all my nerves disappeared after seeing all my family and friends. The 3 course dinner was delicious and I should mention here another bonus they offer, you can offer your guests 4 choices of each course. Everyone was very impressed. The evening buffet was delightfully displayed and the cheesecake was just gorgeous. The downstairs space for the evening reception is just perfect. There is loads of room to dance in the bar area, then the orangery has plenty of seats for chatting and a breather plus there is the beautiful garden which is lit up with lamps and fairy lights. It’s just the right size. I would also like to thanks the ladies who took my flowers downstairs and sorted my playlist and the wonderful evening staff who looked after us so much. I did not expect such great service and I imagine I would be hard pressed to find it elsewhere. Thank you so much for helping us have a wonderful day and putting up with my mad family and friends! Couldn’t have wished for a better venue for our wedding!!. Wow!! Where do we begin? What an absolutely amazing venue run by a fantastic team. From our first visit and meeting Philippe, we knew we didn’t need to look anywhere else for our Spring wedding. Philippe was so accommodating and chilled is an understatement – yet had every little detail and more we could have wanted under complete control. Not forgetting Janet who answered any and every question we threw at her – again totally professional and reassuring us our day would be perfect. We got married in the newly built Orangery and had the wedding breakfast upstairs in the restaurant. Everywhere was decorated beautifully with our own decorations and little extra touches that The Barn provide. Just stunning. They made recommendations to us (hotels, cake etc) and these couldn’t have been improved on either! Complete trust and faith in everything we expected and asked of them. They even managed to capture some our favourite wedding photos taken during the ceremony. Everybody commented on how delicious the food was and how generous the portions were. The cheese tower was a huge success for the evening buffet!! So many of our guests at our wedding commented what a beautiful venue it was and said it was one of the best weddings they had been to. Just a quick note to you and your team to say thank you so much for the way you hosted my daughter’s (Carly Telford) wedding reception on Sunday 24 April. I was thoroughly impressed with how everything had been prepared from the intimate setting for the ceremony in the conservatory to the wonderful dining area upstairs.The choice of menu was amazing and I am sure that whatever I had chosen would have been great. As it was, the lamb main course was so tasty and well presented. I was also very impressed with the team who were there on the day. From the kitchen staff to the front of house. They all worked so hard to make the day a success. Everyone that I spoke to was polite, kind and enthusiastic. They kept smiling despite being on their feet for hours.  I would like to give one of the bar men a special mention. He kindly gave my elderly mother in law and sister in law a lift back to the Travelodge in order to save them waiting for a Taxi.  The garden area looked so pretty in the evening with the way that it had been lit up. Dear Janet, where has the time gone – it seems just yesterday we were enjoying every minute of our wedding and yet here we are back at work! We headed off on honeymoon almost straight away so I do apologise that this email has taken its time to reach you. Mal and I cannot thank you, Philippe, Laura and everyone at The Barn enough for our truly wonderful wedding day. It was literally perfect! From our arrival with mulled wine to the gorgeous meal and then to the stunning tower of cheese, we were looked after superbly with attention to every single detail. Having had such a stressful 3 weeks leading up to the day I simply couldn’t have wished for a more relaxed or wonderful atmosphere. “Thank you” really does seem inadequate! It was a day filled with love, laughter and many, many memories and thank you for being such a wonderful part of it. We both hope you are able to take some well-earned time off after the madness of Xmas and New Year and we wish you all the very best for 2016. A perfect relaxed wedding day! Our wedding at The Barn was on 3rd January 2016 and it was a perfect day for us and all of our guests. Sometimes it’s difficult to give enough accolade and this was certainly one of those occasions. Philippe, Jan and the team did a wonderful job in ensuring that the whole day flowed smoothly with a relaxed atmosphere, meaning that we could have a stress free day and enjoy the event to it’s utmost. Perfect Wedding. We had our wedding and reception at the Barn on the 16th January 2016 and have since been trying to write a review that would do justice to the exceptional service we received. From our initial enquiry until the day of our wedding Philippe & Janet guided us every single step of the way making everything so easy for us. No question or request was too much trouble for them; whenever we emailed them they replied promptly, allaying any concerns we may have had and in doing so took away a lot of the stress. Each time we met with Philippe we were warmly greeted and never made to feel like we were intruding or taking up any of his valuable time. At these meetings he walked us through every aspect of the day and preparations required, with all explained clearly and concisely, even suggestions based on our ideas. The most difficult thing at this stage was deciding on our menu having to choose four starters, four mains and four desserts from a list of forty eight items!, not to mention the children’s menu choices. On the day before our wedding all we had to do was drop off our table decorations, favours, place names etc and a brief run through with how we’d like them set knowing full well that Philippe and his staff had everything in hand. And so onto the big day, PERFECT. Philippe, Janet and all of the staff at the Barn far exceeded any expectation that we may have had. The ceremony room was set and decorated wonderfully and as for the breakfast room we really do not have the words to explain how beautiful it looked. We had a reasonably good idea of what it was going to look like but how it had been arranged really did take our breath away, we could not have asked for anything better. We have lost count of the number of wonderful comments we have had from our guests about our wedding at the Barn; the atmosphere and warmth of feeling you get from the venue, the quality of food & drink but most importantly the staff. You could not ask for more welcoming, friendly and attentive service, a reflection of Philippe’s management. There is so much more that we could say about the Barn but my husband’s concern is that with the reputation the Barn has he is going to have trouble booking it for when his stepdaughter decides to get married. So if you want the wedding of your dreams, stress free, with first class service and memories that will last you a lifetime then look no further than the Barn.

Our wedding day 25/10/2015. We had our wedding at The Barn in October and it was the most amazing, special day ever thanks to Philippe, Jan and their team. The venue was exactly what we were looking for, beautiful, intimate, relaxed and exclusive use for us and our guests. Philippe and Jan mad the whole process from our first visit all the way through to the day after the wedding so enjoyable and stress free. Nothing was ever too difficult for them and they never said no to anything I suggested or asked for which made the day so personal to us (not like most of the hotel venues we viewed who wanted us to use specific suppliers and formats that they use for all their weddings). Our wedding day was exactly how we wanted. Jan and Philippe were always available to speak to either by email, phone or in person all the way through the organising process and in the run up to our big day. I had complete confidence in them that they would make our special day run smoothly and be beautiful and it really was. All of our guests absolutely loved the venue and all commented on how delicious the food was and how great the service was. We can’t recommend the barn enough for anyone getting married. We have some amazing photos taken too, at the venue and also at the park area just across the road from The Barn. Perfect location too as it’s easy to get to, find and park. We even had some guests arrive by train which is a very short walk away.

Our Wedding 13/12/2015. We had our wedding here on the 13th December 2015 and we literally have no faults what so ever. Let me tell you why we chose the Barn over the others we looked at. We knew from the start we wanted to get married at Christmas, we knew we wanted an intimate venue as we had about 58 guests for the day and also we wanted somewhere where the whole day could be held, we looked at other places that well, had the wow factor but not the intimacy plus the price tag to boot was completely out of our budget. When we found the Barn, we immediately was drawn to the conservatory area, we booked an appointment to go and to our delight Philippe wanted to show us around the morning of a wedding so we could see how it can be all done up. We walked in and definitely did not feel like we was in a ‘pub’ it looked stunning, the oak beams, the staircase and the conservatory gave it that immediate wow factor and to top it all off everyone was just so welcoming. Philippe was not push to sell us his venue at all and we liked that as this is what we have experienced prior. Jan on the e mails was there every step of the way, no question was too silly at all and she really remembers everything you have said or wanted which is a really nice touch. Thank you Jan. I had a vision of how I wanted the Barn to look with our decorations and to arrive there and have that vision executed so perfectly was probably my first emotional part of the day, i was so happy, thank you so much!!! All the guests commented about how lovely the service was through the meal too, no ones glass was left empty, they ensured the children had there meals first to keep them occupied and well, just very friendly and smiley. The Barn at Christmas was lit up in hundreds of fairy lights and all my guests were wowed by them. I will send you our professional pictures when we get them. Thank you to Philippe, Jan and you team for our wedding day at the Barn. We honestly loved every second, and yes I am still ‘Buzzing!’.

Wedding. I recently attended my Dads wedding at The Barn. What a fantastic day and beautiful venue. The staff were friendly and helpful. I have a small baby and needed to breast feed, the staff were extremely accommodating and found me a quiet spot and ensured I was comfortable. The location is just off the main high street so easy to find and walking distance from our hotel. The food was lovely, drinks at the bar were reasonably priced, wine on the table was also lovely, the wedding ceremony itself was beautiful with lovely surroundings for photos. I would recommend this venue to friends and family and would use myself if I were to get married.

Wedding Ceremony and Celebration. We recently had our wedding ceremony, meal and reception at the Barn, which was a most wonderful experience, the whole day could not have gone better. To begin with, what could have been a stressful build up to the day was made so easy by Philippe, Jan and their wonderful staff, who dealt with and/or advised us expertly throughout. as a result, we were both able to turn up at the venue, and really enjoy every second (not what I had expected I must confess, as I am usually on edge at events like this!). They thoroughly prepared us for the day, and took care of every small detail, dealing with any queries with calm assurance. The venue holds the wedding ceremony in their Conservatory, which was ideal for our requirements, and gave the whole occasion a warm and intimate feel; following this, the Wedding Meal was held upstairs in the Restaurant, which adequately and comfortably accommodated our guests. The meal itself was excellent. The portions were of a good size, hot and very well prepared and presented. The staff attentive and helpful without exception. We certainly enjoyed the meal, and the chef went out of his way to serve a delicious (I am told) and suitable dish for my wife, who has certain food intolerances. There was a slight delay between serving the different courses, but that was in fact just what we asked for, as we wished to spend a little time circulating and talking to our guests. I should add that I had attended the venue a year or so previously, and the excellent meal/service provided then was repeated. After the meal, we had coffee downstairs (at our request to enable the guests to stretch their legs and mingle more freely), before the evening activities began. The Barn had placed us in touch with a local DJ they often have dealings with, and he was excellent too. We are salsa dancers, and were very specific that we wished there to be a mix of good ‘ordinary’ dance music, and an equal measure of salsa type music to be played throughout the evening to accommodate every taste. In my experience, many DJs are selfish in only wanting to play their own music; however Luke (the DJ), was very approachable, helpful, and the dance floor was busy throughout the night. All in all, I cannot find any fault at all with what we received from the Barn team. The were brilliant, and I was able to enjoy literally every second of the day from the moment I awoke (knowing we were in good hands) until we finally left after midnight. Our guests seemed to have a similar great time too, judging by the smiling faces but more importantly from the many complimentary comments we have since received. Overall I would say – Help in setting up and on the day – Excellent; Service etc throughout the day – First Class; Atmosphere – Brilliant; Food – Very very good; Total experience – Unbelievably good. I would not hesitate to recommend the Barn to anyone wishing to hold a Wedding or other ceremony there. It is not the largest venue of it’s type, but it was absolutely perfect for our requirements (I am still smiling now as I write this, some 3 weeks later!), and we could have spent a huge amount more on the day elsewhere, but I very much doubt that we would have received anywhere near such great personal attention to all of our needs and requests. It’s a truly lovely & intimate venue, the food was divine and all our guests mentioned just how good the food was! Our wedding- August 9th 2015. We got married at The Barn on 09/08/15 and we loved every second of it! I couldn’t rate this venue enough for the excellent service and high standard of care we received from the moment we booked it and throughout! We chose The Barn because we wanted a special day in a relaxed environment and that’s exactly what we got! Everyone was welcome, everyone’s needs were catered for- examples of this included little shot glasses of sweets for the children to toast us with, they changed the children’s menu for us, they increased vegetarian options for our wedding and even provided freshly prepared food for our dairy free evening guest which made her night. Every time I presented an issue to The Barn about my complicated seating plans and chair covers, they just sorted it out without any fuss. Emails were responded to very quickly, always with an answer. The staff were lovely and friendly- they really went above and beyond. We were told by the photographer that this is one of the few venues where staff make sure she had eaten and that she had had a drink- it’s these touches you don’t get in other places and I think this speaks volumes about how they treat every guest that walks through their door. The food was amazing- we’ve been to The Barn a few times in the year while planning our wedding and we are so impressed by the quality of food and service on every occasion. On the actual day of the wedding, guests reported how stuffed they were and how delicious the food was- they we’re still stuffed when it came to the buffet which was constantly topped up. We were also able to make use of the cocktail bar which made me (and several guests!) very happy because you don’t usually get that at weddings. Parking was great, there’s a car park over the road which is very cheap. The train station is right next door. I thought the wedding was reasonably priced as well- while looking at venues, many places were charging a lot more for a lot less. If I could do the day over again, I would! But if was able to, I’d still choose The Barn every time!! Thank you for such a lovely day!!

Perfect Wedding Day! We got married at The Barn on Sunday 26th July 2015 and it was the most amazing and fantastic day, made perfect by the perfect venue and the wonderful staff! From the moment we booked everyone was so helpful, always happy to give advice and answer the many questions we had quickly and kindly. On the day, they did everything they could to make sure it ran smoothly and it certainly helped to calm the excited nerves! The fact that it poured down with rain almost all day went completely unnoticed as we were having such fun celebrating. The food was delicious and all our guests were delighted to have a choice of what they had. The Barn is really well suited to a wedding, with plenty of space to dance, drink and chat whilst keeping everyone within an intimate proximity so you don’t have groups of guests disappearing off somewhere and missing the fun. I can see why this venue has won awards and why I’ve never heard anything other than praise for it.

We were married here July 19th 2015 and cannot fault anything about The Barn. We received fantastic service from Janet & Philippe from the moment we booked the venue in March 2014. Nothing was too much trouble, even in the middle of the night when a pressing question came to mind about table runners etc…. The venue was decorated perfectly by Philippe and the team just as I had envisaged, and the guests were so impressed with how it had been set out. The food was unbelievable and everyone commented on how good it was and how the portions were just right unlike some other weddings they had attended. Our Wedding at the Barn. If you are looking for an intimate wedding venue, with character and excellent service you should seriously consider the Barn. We had a beautiful wedding day here in June 2015. Philippe and his team are professional and attentive, but manage to balance that with a relaxed and light touch approach which allowed our day to run perfectly with a minimum of fuss. Forget your standard wedding package A, B or C, the Barn lets guests choose from the menu at their standard restaurant prices, which amounts to about half as much per head as many venues charge, for food twice as good! You get to choose how you want the Barn to look, and be laid out, with Philippe’s guidance and experience on hand to help you decide. We had a fantastic day at the Barn on our wedding, all the guests thought the meal was amazing, and the way they took care of our big day and accommodated our requests was marvellous. I’ve never given 5 stars on a review before, but they truly deserve it.

Went here after my wedding 19/6/15 there was 12 of us for a meal, they had let my friend go in before my service and dress the table, everybody had something different from the menu and drinks and the service was fantastic. Wonderful wedding. Just to say thank you to Philippe and the team at The Barn for making our wedding day in April such a success. We wanted an informal event that flowed seamlessly from day into evening and what a perfect venue The Barn proved to be. With a wedding every Sunday, the team are very practiced and have a tried and tested format that runs like clockwork. But, they are also flexible within that framework and will accommodate (reasonable) requests so that you can personalise your day to suit you. We didn’t have many requests but the few we had were instantly accommodated and the whole thing couldn’t have been more stress-free. And the proof of the pudding as they say, is in the eating. All our guests had a great time – as did we – and many commented particularly on what a lovely, relaxed venue, we’d chosen. Oh, and not that it’s the most important thing, but it was good value for money too! If The Barn is on your list of possible venues, or even if it isn’t, we’d definitely recommend you pay Philippe a visit.

A very happy couple! We’ve recently had our wedding at The Barn and it was the perfect place. The staff were all great, friendly and polite who all helped make the day one to remember. Our Amazing Wedding Day. We had our wedding here on Sunday 15th February 2015. Right from the start at booking the venue, the managers Philippe & Janet Speak (Husband and wife couple) went above and beyond to do everything that they could to make our day special. They coped with every guests food intolerances, gluten, diabetic, dairy, etc., including two little girls with lactose intolerance and went out especially for them three times to find dairy free chocolate ice cream for them to have. A menu choice had to be changed for one guest at the last minute and Jan was always there patiently at the end of long emails to answer any queries. At one particular time, when my new wife was unwell and overly worried and needn’t be, Jan even telephoned her from home on her day off to make sure that she was ok. She had been on antibiotics for a long period and anxiety got on top of her but Jan was there reassuring and was so caring. Philippe and Jan care about all their couples and you are in safe hands with them and their amazing team. On our wedding day, the sun shone, the ceremony room looked stunning, decorated with rose garlands, chair covers with organza sashes and the restaurant (Colour scheme Deep Red Roses for Valentines) – well one perspective bride who was viewing when I arrived, saw how the venue looked and it made her cry. It was that fabulous. Needless to say, that bride to be booked and my bride was speechless which is a miracle. Lol. Photos that have been taken just do not do it justice. All the guests said how spectacular the venue looked and Philippe had exceeded our vision. He tweaked the little things we had overlooked, like the side plate with a bread roll on. And the effect was just wow. The food was scrumptious and my wife said that the lemon lush pie was divine and wished it was on the menu all the time. I loved the chicken liver pâté starter and the Salmon we both had for our main course just melted in our mouths. Every guest has complimented the food and all have said how good it was, even those who are fussy eaters. The disco was next and Luke the resident DJ was exceptional and having a new father-in-law who knows his music and has done the job. Luke got many compliments from him and other guests and the dance floor was full. The buffet was brilliant and how The Barn’s staff changed the rooms around was amazing. So many of our guests have sent us messages saying how much they had enjoyed the day and that it had been the best wedding they had ever been to. My only disappointment was that the day went so fast. We both loved the day so much and felt that we were beaming with happiness and bouncing off the walls and we still haven’t come down. The Barn have been Kent Wedding Awards winner in 2013 and finalist in 2014 . They deserved to be the winner in 2013, they didn’t deserve to be finalist in 2014, as they should have been the winner again! No other place can match The Barn as a wedding venue and that is purely down to the fantastic couple behind the scenes, Philippe and Janet and their fabulous team. They realise how special your day is and how it cannot be replaced and their ethic is that they feel privileged to be part of your day and for you to trust them with it. Not many in the wedding industry have this unique take, which is part of the reason they go above and beyond, the other part is down to the people they are. The best decision we ever made was having our wedding at The Barn. If we were to do it all over again we would choose no other place. For us there is only ONE wedding venue. The Barn! A massive thank you to Philippe, Jan and all their team (especially the kitchen team who are often overlooked) at The Barn for making our wedding day so special.

Wonderful Winter Wedding, outstanding service. We were guests at a wonderful wedding on 21/12/14. As a freelance florist, and close relative of the Bride, I was also in charge of all things floral for the happy couple. I cannot praise highly enough the hosting by the Manager Philippe and his lovely team. Nothing was too much trouble at any stage. I popped into the venue several times unannounced prior to the wedding and was met with a friendly and exceptionally helpful ‘We can do” attitude. They were fantastic. On the day of the wedding, the set-up was seamless and professional and the service during the whole event was exceptional. Every little detail was perfect and carried out exactly as the bride and groom had asked. The food was delicious, my main course of rack of lamb was superb! If you are considering holding your wedding at this venue, I cannot recommend it highly enough

Perfect wedding venue, excellent service. I got married here on the 4th January and it was just sheer perfection. My husband and I are from Bristol so we put all our trust in Philippe and his wife Janet and they made the day spectacular. The room was set up beautifully, we popped in the day before to drop the decorations off. On the day the ceremony went without fault as did the meal. The food is absolutely gorgeous, the portion sizes were fantastic also. I am the kind of person that really hates those fancy small portions you can often get, this is not a problem here at all. I chose the whole menu myself and my guests had a choice of 4 options for each course. We had things such as rack of lamb, crispy duck salad and pannacotta. The food was superb! We have since had cards from our guests saying how great the food was and also the service was second to none. Philippe and Janet made the organisation of the wedding so easy for us, especially as we were quite far away. Wonderful Wedding! I’ve been married nearly a year now, so this is a little overdue – I’ve only just joined TripAdvisor! The Barn was the first venue we visited back in January 2013 while looking for a venue for our wedding, and we instantly fell in love with it. Philippe was attentive and genuine, and it was lovely to have someone offer us a price that was reasonable, and wasn’t hideously over-inflated. From the beginning Janet (our contact there) was so helpful, replying to my often neurotic emails as soon as she could, and always with helpful suggestions. Even when I had some issues with seating and guests they offered to move round some tables so I could fit everyone in, and offered the use of the pretty fairy lights upstairs in the restaurant. The day itself was mildly stressful (only because of my own worries), but Philippe and the team were just superb, orchestrating everything so smoothly, and handling our diverse range of guests with ease. The food was wonderful, and everyone said how nice it was. Having a choice of dishes was absolutely invaluable to us. The bar staff were fantastic with my inebriated friends, and the fact that they packed everything up for us to take away with ease the next day has me indebted to them. Their recommended DJ was fantastic too! He listened to my ‘play/don’t play’ instructions and really adhered to them, to the point where a guest asked me why he wouldn’t play a song, and I realised it was because I had asked him not to! Really, I can’t thank them enough for all that they did for us, and will certainly be going back for dinner soon!

Our Wedding – 14th September 2014. The Barn was the 3rd venue we visited when looking for a place to get married, and we fell in love with it immediately. This wonderful little place is set back from the main high street so it doesn’t feel like you are in a town. It feels secluded and private. We wanted somewhere intimate and cosy, with a more personal feel to it, and the Barn fitted in with everything, so we e-mailed to book it the same day. We changed the day slightly as getting married at the Barn on a Sunday gave us the whole place exclusive to us, without any members of the public visiting (at no extra cost). We were in regularly contact, nothing felt like too much trouble and we got lots of advice, hints and tips, and we felt so supported by not only Philippe, but his wonderful wife Janet and of course the whole team. I knew if I e-mailed over a quick question, or to check a detail, that I would be responded to quickly and efficiently. When the day arrived Philippe met me outside and put my mind to rest about all the details, reassuring me that all was in order (including their help with buttonholes – thanks!), and the team effortlessly glided us through the day. It was lovely to put my trust in these people with the biggest day of my life and to not have to worry about getting all the guests upstairs, etc. Even though there were a couple of last minute changes/minor issues they had sorted it out before we had even mentioned it to them, (such as food for an additional photographer which we weren’t expecting). The meal was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were more than plenty. It was so nice to offer our guests a choice of three dishes to choose from. Little extras that the team put together of fairy lights, heart decorations and the chalkboard signs really made the place look and feel magical, more than I had imagined it would all look like together. We have had so many wonderful comments from our guests about the venue, how attentive the staff were and how delicious the meal was. At the end of the evening the staff packed up our stuff so that we could pick it up the following morning, saving us from carrying it all to the hotel – things like this make a huge difference, and something we were so grateful for at the time. The Barn is now somewhere very special to us and will return regularly. We would thoroughly recommend this gorgeous location as a wedding venue – you will not regret it! We would like to thank the Barn for a wonderful wedding day, and for working so hard to make everything perfect!

Wedding Venue. We had our wedding here on 17th August and from start to finish it was an amazing day. The crossed fingers worked as although it rained all morning by about 1 o’clock it had stopped and the sun came out. We were able to enjoy drinks in the garden and only had to take cover for 10 minutes when there was a cloud burst but it worked out fine as whilst it rained we had photos inside and then when it stopped we went out again. I wish we were local. We recently got married here (well beginning of June but Honeymoon has made me write this review a bit later than is should have been!) Echoing what other couples have said the staff at The Barn look after you from beginning to end. We do not live local – about 50 mins drive – and we came here first to check out The Barn as a potential venue. This was the only venue we went to – after arriving at The Barn, talking to Philippe, having a gorgeous meal and emailing Jan we knew this was definitely the place for us to get wed. Jan and Philippe were so efficient with every query or worry we presented to them that in the end we really felt that everything was to be taken care of by The Barn, with care; we were made to feel that all we would need to do is enjoy our day. And enjoy our day we did. The venue was perfect. The ceremony room looked beautiful (hard to imagine the transformation when it is set out for everyday business), guests were looked after and made to feel welcome. Upstairs in the restaurant the wedding breakfast was served, guests had already picked their food (that doesn’t happen a lot at other weddings) and everyone commented on how lovely the food was and how competent and friendly the staff were. I even broke my nail (my precious bridal manicure!) and Philippe managed to save the day with super glue! I had bought decorations that were put up around the venue by staff (one less worry for the bride and groom), the garden looked stunning in the sunshine and the evening reception started fluidly – there were no long gaps and waiting around, our evening guests were fed well and looked after by staff all night. We planned our wedding in 6 months, we visited the Barn 4 times (mainly to try another burger!) and sent endless emails to Jan – every phone call, visit and email was dealt with efficiently and reassuringly. There was not one moment on our wedding day, or the run up to it, that we worried about our wedding. Dan and I thank you all so much for all your hard work and I recommend anyone looking for a quaint, personal and memorable day to check out The Barn. The only problem we have now is that we have to move to Tunbridge Wells so this can become our local!

Our wedding at The Barn. We had an absolutely wonderful day at The Barn on 22 June, 2014. From the first chat with Philippe and Janet we were made to feel totally relaxed about the whole organising process. Our day exceeded all our expectations and all our family and friends said what a wonderful wedding venue it is. It’s our local pub so we knew what a great atmosphere and food we’d be treated to. The staff were so attentive from beginning to end and the day flowed perfectly. There was no gap between the wedding breakfast and the evening guests arriving – just as Philippe had promised! It’s so close to hotels – all our guests were very happy with their rooms, and the station and parking. We can’t recommend The Barn highly enough – they worked closely with our florist (Florist in the Forest), our cake maker (La Roche) as well as the band The Redford’s who were fantastic all evening. We can see why they won Kent Wedding Venue of the year. We couldn’t imagine having a more perfect day from beginning to end!

You really made what could have been so stressful and anxiety-ridden really quite simple! Philippe was fantastic, and so attentive and relaxed; I really appreciated that when making my entrance, full of nerves! The perfect wedding. We held our wedding here one Saturday in September (I’ve been meaning to find time to write this for ages) and had a wonderful day. Even now when we see friends they say, ‘It was one of the best weddings we’ve been to. Everything that was humanly possible went as well as we could reasonably expected. The building is nice and the setting very convenient for friends coming from London. The venue for the ceremony was lovely and Dorothy and Sue from the register office made the ceremony itself very special, very human. The welcome drinks afterwards were very good, with the Pimms getting special praise from those who had it. The room for the meal looked beautiful and the food, wine and fizz were all very good. The options on the menu are very wide and our selections seemed very popular with guests. The duck starter and sea bass main in particular were perfect and everyone said the food was great – and it all cost about £40 a head. Philippe and Janet – and their staff – did all that could have been asked of them to ensure the day was special and went without a hitch, catering for quirky guests who had food allergies or wanted a constant supply of tea and providing an extra plate of food for a guest who thought he wouldn’t make the meal until dessert but turned up in time for a main course. Ahead of the event, they had done everything to help us get the menus out, plan the seating, and assist the friends who were doing the cake and the flowers. They provided very sound advice at every turn. The only thing they didn’t manage was the weather order. We asked for a sunny day (not difficult, given the summer we had) but got drizzle! Even that could not put a dampener on a very special occasion, for which we send our eternal thanks.

Excellent wedding venue in heart of Tunbridge Wells. Everything about The Barn was perfect from start to finish. Janet & Philippe can’t do enough for you and are determined to make your day exactly that: yours. None of this “we have to do it this way” or “you have to use this supplier” like some venues might insist upon. They went above & beyond at every step, and Janet was ALWAYS there at the end of an email. The day was perfect – the venue had been decorated by the staff for us and every little detail had been thought about. The food was excellent – like other couples who have left a review, many of our guests have complimented us on the quality of the food. Every little request was met – “fussy eaters” and small children included! Even when we had guests drop out last minute, this was no problem. We knew from the moment we visited The Barn in October 2012 that this was the venue for us – perfect for the day we wanted. October 27 2013 will be a day to never forget. The staff must also be praised – helpful, friendly and clearly passionate about giving the best service. They too went beyond what could normally be expected of them. The Barn really is a “more personal wedding venue”. We also regularly visit here as regular customers and we love the atmosphere, good prices & service we get. Never had a bad experience.

Our wedding day 28/07/2013. We had such a wonderful wedding day at The Barn. The Barn was recommended to us by the father of a previous bride. When we went to visit The Barn, we both instantly realised it was perfect for us. We loved that it was a personal venue, the layout and set up of the venue is just what you need and most importantly the atmosphere which made us feel at ease and relaxed and was a perfect match to our personalities. So we booked shortly after and the service from our initial viewing was flawless. Philippe was great at putting us at ease, making sure you get the most for your money and Janet was so prompt and professional with replying to my many many emails! The day itself was simply perfect. All our guests were happy and relaxed and ready for a good time and the day went without a hitch. The food was great and everyone enjoyed their meals. Philippe and his staff had taken care of everything on the day leaving my husband and I to simply enjoy our day, which we certainly did! We also loved the surprise personal touches. The resident DJ was great, he played all of our requests and got the mix of music just right giving us a packed dance floor with people from all different age groups. The bar staff were also amazing, we definitely wanted a party feeling to our evening and they helped with that. We never waited for a drink, there was always someone ready to serve you and they seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Having preferential rates at local hotels was also very handy. We had booked up all the rooms at The Smart and Simple Hotel and more guests in the other hotels recommended by The Barn. I can’t think of any other way of letting you know our day was just amazing and so special to us and we enjoyed every minute. We find it quite special that my husband and I first met in a pub, then we decided to get married in a pub, now we have decided to make a tradition of spending our anniversaries at The Barn reliving our wonderful day. Amazing Day!! My now husband and I got married at The Barn at the end of August and I must say it was an amazing day! We can’t thank Philippe, Janet and their team enough for all their hard work and dedication to making our day so special for us! The food was fantastic and some of our guests are already planning to come back for more! The ceremony room was beautiful and the team were so friendly and helpful. The garden is a wonderful background for our wedding pictures and for the gusts to relax and enjoy a few drinks in the evening. The guests and even the DJ commented on how relaxed the atmosphere was as well as how happy everyone was as they were really enjoying themselves. All in all it was a perfect day and I cannot fault them on anything so I would highly recommend The Barn to everyone for big functions or just a relaxing meal, it’s fantastic! The perfect wedding venue! My partner and I recently had our wedding day here at The Barn. We viewed the venue back in November last year and was really impressed with the intimate setting and welcoming atmosphere, it was exactly what we were looking for, from start to finish Phillipe and his team offered us a tailor made package suited exactly to our requirements. Our day could not have gone better, it flowed perfectly through the day and staff couldn’t do enough for us. The venue was decorated amazingly and exactly as I had asked for. We had no worries at all as everything you could imagine was taken care of. The day was fantastic and all of my guests haven’t stopped saying how good the day was. If you want a personal tailor made day from a team that knows exactly how to create your perfect wedding with a refreshingly honest and genuinely caring approach then you just cannot get better value anywhere else! Also when I went to sign for my marriage at the registry office some weeks before; I was told by a member of staff there that of all the weddings she attends (all over the area) The Barn was her favourite for a personal and enjoyable day!! That speaks volumes in itself, and she was right :0) very pleased couple.

Excellent staff, lovely venue! My husband and I live in the US and recently got married there, however as I’m a Brit we also wanted a reception in England for those who couldn’t travel to the wedding. We booked The Barn sight unseen and relied on reviews, photos and communications with Philippe & Janet. They did not disappoint us! The menu was adjusted for us, parking spots and tables outside were reserved as well, as it was such a beautiful evening – these were things we didn’t expect and I’m sure would not occur at some other venues. This kind of special attention to detail ensured our evening was perfect. Philippe, Janet, & Laura the assistant manager did a fabulous job. Our guests all commented at how accommodating they were. The Barn is wonderful – you will not be disappointed.

Wedding 31.3.13. Our wedding at the Barn was amazing from start to finish. Philippe, Janet and all the staff were great. Janet responded to all our requests instantly and they were all very attentive. The food was great and was great value for money. The Barn is a lovely setting, the atmosphere is great and we didn’t want the day to end. Philippe and Janet advised us from start to finish when planning our wedding and gave us truthful advice. The setting is just perfect for a wedding or any family gathering or just a night out and we would highly recommend the Barn as nothing is too much trouble. Super Wedding Day and Night! We went to a friend’s wedding in February 2013. The venue was super, the food was lovely and the staff made the day brilliant. Philippe and his staff were always friendly, going out of their way to help. One of our friends was allergic to nuts, and without having to ask, one of the waitresses had run into the kitchen for a replacement desert without us even having to ask. They let us park our car overnight and said they would look out for in the morning until we picked it up. Would recommend it for any celebration day.

Our Perfect Wedding Day. Our Wedding day was perfect! The 10th November will be a day to remember thanks to Philippe, Janet and all the staff at The Barn. Making the arrangements was so easy and stress free thanks to Philippe and Janet’s experience and friendly and helpful manner. One of the highlights of the day was the food. It was excellent; you could not fault any of the courses. The Roast Beef, Chicken and Pork were all perfectly cooked and thoroughly enjoyed by all. There were 52 guests and all were served by the helpful and friendly staff, who played a big part in making our day so special. I would not hesitate at all to highly recommend The Barn for any occasion.

Wedding at The Barn – Perfection! We recently got married and had our wedding breakfast here. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The owners were more than helpful on every occasion, doing that little bit extra wherever they could. The venue was beautifully decorated, very elegant and made the day perfect. We had 50 for our wedding breakfast, all of whom could not speak more highly. We had a variety of options but in particular our guests enjoyed the duck starter and the lamb main. We were unable to find fault with any of the food, service or drinks available. Nice little wedding venue. Attended a wedding for 50 here. The venue was, therefore, closed to the public for the whole day and evening. Lunch was generously sized portions, served efficiently. The bar staff and managers were all very helpful and friendly, and maintained their standards for the whole of the event, which lasted until around midnight. A lovely bar, with conservatory and garden, and an upstairs restaurant area.
