Grosvenor Park opened in 1889 and is the oldest public park in Tunbridge Wells. In 1931 it was extended to merge with Hilbert Park and provide more space and wildlife areas. The park contains many different areas as well as habitats and is home to many birds, insects and other animals native to the United Kingdom. A stroll through the park will awaken the nature lover in you, provide you with a feeling of peace and serenity and can be enjoyed by people of any age.
The Grosvenor and Hilbert Park has been a popular place for locals and visitors since it first opened. The park is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy your surroundings, get back to nature or attend one of the many events held regularly. Take the family on a day out, let the kids have fun on the well equipped children’s play area, skate park or basketball courts. During the football season you will find matches played in the park every Sunday.
Take some time out to enjoy your surroundings and then why not enjoy a meal, drink or spend time with friends and family at The Barn, an excellent choice for pub or restaurant in Tunbridge Wells.
