Managed by husband and wife team Janet and Phillippe Sorak for over 30 years, our barn wedding venue is one of Kent’s most decorated, with us being regulars at the Kent Wedding Awards for over a decade. We’ve been fortunate enough to win the prestigious Wedding Venue of the Year Award in 2022/2023, 2019, 2016 and 2013.
It is no surprise that many more couples have felt drawn to a rustic barn feel for their weddings in recent years. A nostalgic, cosy atmosphere coupled with a connection to nature and history makes it a timeless choice.
The Barn in Kent is a romantic, warm and intimate space, and possesses the elegant and inviting atmosphere that many of our brides and grooms have been searching for. We can offer indoor/outdoor flexibility with our beautiful courtyard-style garden, which is adorned with summer flowers and lit up come dusk with twinkling fairy lights.
The Barn, situated in the Kentish town of Tunbridge Wells, is reconstructed from a centuries-old Elizabethan barn. Originally built in a Kent village, it was carefully dismantled and reassembled at its current location many years ago.
The building features exposed oak beams and dark wooden floors. A winding staircase leads to our private dining area, where you and your guests can relax with a glass of champagne and enjoy a bespoke three-course meal.
Our bright Orangery is a newer addition and brings a modern touch to The Barn, overlooking our award-winning garden. Many of our couples have praised this space for its personal, intimate feel.
